By now, you probably have had the opportunity to encounter The Tabernacle Experience. We pray that it was a great blessing to do so! Throughout Lent, we will be observing in greater detail its different furnishings. Today we examine the Laver. Water and washing are prominent throughout the Bible, and we see it incorporated in Israel’s worship from the very beginning. The Laver stood in the courtyard as a reminder that priests could not enter into the Tabernacle without washing. It stands as a reminder to us also. We gather today in God’s sanctuary as God’s baptized children! We have been washed by Christ, and because of it, our Heavenly Father invites us into His presence to experience His grace. Thanks be to God!
